About Shelton Kelly
Shelton Kelly, b. 1996 in San Francisco, is an emerging artist living and working in New York City.
Shelton spent her childhood between the San Francisco bay area and her family's log cabin in the Sierra Nevadas. Her early experiences of exploring the region's untamed backcountry fostered a deep appreciation and respect for nature within her. Her interests in geology, evolution, and the effects of time on the natural world remain important influences in her work today.
Shelton has been drawing and painting throughout her life. In 2024, she transitioned from a career in financial services to pursue art full time. She is currently undergoing a classical training in drawing, painting, and sculpture at the Grand Central Atelier in New York.
